While South Beach Food & Wine Festival was a live event, Capital One was dedicated to providing consumers with a safe, memorable experience that continued to support the culinary industry even during the pandemic.

Capital One was one of few virtual experiences offered at this year’s festival making it a truly exclusive experience for those who are not able to join in person.

Capital One took guests to the beaches of Miami with the help of its iconic flavors.

Snacks have the amazing ability to pack a lot of flavor into a small bite and can sometimes be more inventive than the rest of the menu, reimagining flavor pairings without having to commit to a full dish.

During this snack-sized South Beach experience, guests got to sample a variety of local flavors, all while making a delicious appetizer and signature snack. The recipes brought together many of the Cuban, Caribbean, Greek, and Pan-Asian flavors of Miami with Chef Aarón Sánchez and Ellen Bennet guiding them every step of the way.

Our duo showed guests how to make these basic recipes – starting with the appetizer, and then the snack. Our host and our chef spoke to how versatile these recipes are, both in the ingredients they used and how/when they can be enjoyed.

For this event, Cardholders received an ingredient and equipment list and recipe card in advance of the class. Select cardholders also received a culinary kit sent to their home including all ingredients needed to cook along during the event, a premade mocktail, snack & app recipe cards, and kitchen tools.

Light & Bright

The look and feel for the event took inspiration from a modern kitchen, the lush palms of the South Beach and the vibrant nightlife of Miami. All of these elements were brought together to create a light & bright feel.
